30+ years ago, Jeff Peter, a farmer from Hicksville, Ohio, worked with Keeton to invent the tube for their Seed Firmers. He wasn’t fully happy with the outcome and believed he could build something better that would last longer than the one Keeton put into production. In the early 90’s Jeff started Flo-Rite® Seed Firmers and was a one man show.

Jeff started by designing a new seed firmer using stronger materials that would outlast the competition. Next, he created the first adjustable bracket for Seed Firmers. Being a farmer himself, Jeff wanted to make sure that he was creating a product that would be efficient and economical. With the replaceable wearpad you can swap out the pad when needed without the hassle of removing the whole unit.

In 2015 Jeff showed his innovative design to a Becks dealer and they started selling the product for him. In 2017 Herschel took over sales and they continued to sell until 2022 when Thunderstruck Ag took over sales.
